Quiet by default. Explicit when personal.
Wispdawn is a Chrome new-tab extension. It uses local timing, optional bookmark access, and optional birth details to render a living sky. This beta is designed without accounts, ads, analytics, or background syncing of personal data.
What stays local
- Display preferences, lens, tone, role, search engine, and focus settings.
- Daily Sky memory, which stores only date, lens, timing window, seed, and optional visual anchor.
- Optional birth profile details used to calculate the local birth-sky chamber.
- Optional Chrome bookmarks read through the browser permission; Wispdawn does not copy the tree into localStorage.
What may leave the browser
- IP-based city lookup uses ipapi.co so Wispdawn can estimate local sunrise and timing.
- An anonymous local ID is sent to the Wispdawn API only for rate limiting API requests.
- Kundli interpretation happens only after pressing Read this chart or Read placement. It sends calculated placements, not raw birth date, birth time, birthplace, coordinates, or UTC timestamp.
What Wispdawn does not do
- No account creation in v1.
- No ads or third-party analytics in v1.
- No history, tabs, top sites, notifications, or email permissions.
- No sale of personal data.
